- Survey: 109 responses.
- Kitchen: Idea for dish racks in common kitchen not popular. People not inclined to help clean them. Residents seem to think that shared items for kitchen left by previous residents is a good idea. Goal is to reduce the amount of effort needed to use common kitchen, which today requires people to haul a cart with all of their kitchen items over to the common kitchen.
- Lockers: massive pest problems in lockers in W1. Must strictly enforce the "no food storage" rule if proceed with idea.
- Laundry room: most complaints were about tech cash not working, but that seems to be working, at least for most people now. Lost & found basket. Need better solution to move other people's stuff out of washers. Will get stepstool and a few baskets. Will encourage people to wait 5 minutes before moving someone else's things.
- New signs proposed, will be sorted out by Weiyue.
- Most residents are not sure how to report a problem with Ashdown equipment. Madeleine will be sending out a sign explaining step-by-step how to report an issue in the common areas.
- Vacuum: 80% of residents did not have a vacuum moving in.
- Tax: $10k/4mo for house taxes. Increase by 10% would enable more inventory/vacuum.
- Sustainability: a lot of disposable still ending up in compost. Pushing the discussion to spring because there is likely not enough time left in the fall. Madeleine will communicate this to Lucio.
- Inventory: Madeleine will get new suggestion box and table tennis pedals.
- Weiyue proposes evaluation of the garden. Madeleine will ask Kate to provide her feedback.
- Officer self-evaluation: brunch seems to be struggling the most. Alex will meet with the officer to discuss the fact that his performance is currently perceived as below expectations.
- Open floor: need an extra $50/mo for board game night. One of the board game night will be run and funded by event. Resident thinks this is not happening yet. Suggested to send email to ahec-five to clarify funding situation, but events committee should be taking care of one of the 4 monthly events.
Meeting adjourned at 9:45 pm
