- Casino Night
- We are going to have a spring casino night on February 16th, 2013.
- AHEC Election Schedule
- We need to pick dates for AHEC elections this year.
- If we follow last year's schedule, we would have:
- March 7th - Nomination Dinner
- March 14th - Speech Night
- March 20th - Elections
- March 21st - AHEC Presentation
- This sounds good to everyone, so that is what we are going to do.
- Housemaster Search Committee
- There is a search committee for housemaster positions in both SP and Ashdown.
- We have Andrea, Matt, Katie, and Yuri as Ashdown representitives
- There is an information session on January 31st for the positions.
- If anyone knows good people for housemaster, they should let Andrea know.
- Spring Housemaster Dinners
- The following four nights were suggested:
- February 5th
- February 8th
- February 12th
- February 15th
- This sounds good to everyone
- Staff Luncheon
- This will be a lunch hosted on January 25th for the staff of Ashdown.
- The Lunch will start at 11:30, but we will be meeting at 11:20 for a staff photo.
- Will Fund
- We have 5 proposals for items for the will fund:
- Blu Ray for the TV room
- Thigh machine for the weight room
- Book shelf for book reuse between residents
- Cocktail tables for social events
- Warmer for the kitchen
- We voted yes for all the items except for the cocktail tables.
- Resident Support System
- HCA was approached by MIT administration and asked what sort of things MIT grad students need.
- This could include things like Med Links or peer-trained counselors (like GRTs).
- We discussed possibilities that we may bring up with HCA.
- Spring Budgets and Officer Proposal Deadlines
- We would like spring proposals by the end of IAP.
- Ashley is away until her quals are done so she won't be around to give out budgets.
- We decided to use the same budget as the fall.
- Project Updates
- Kitchen cleaning
- Andy is meeting with reps from committees that use the kitchen to do some cleaning.
- They are also going to decide what can be removed to reduce clutter.
- Andy will be meeting with Denise Friday morning to talk about what can be removed from the kitchen.
- Front desk fine system
- Eva has talked with Denise and Kristen, and the system is ready to be implemented.
- Eva still needs to write an e-mail to the dorm to introduce the fine system.
- The fine system will start at the beginning of the new semester.
- Reservation etiquette guidelines
- The reservation etiquette needs to be posted online and the rules for reservations need to be implemented in the system.
- Bike donations
- The bikes left over from the auction are either going to be donated, recycled, or thrown away.
- Eva e-mailed John about the bikes, he is going to take a look at them.
- Katie heard of a group called "Bikes not Bombs" that takes bikes to donate to other countries.
- Common Space Rearrangement
- We sent out a survey of common space in the summer.
- We are thinking about moving items between common rooms.
- Officer Evaluation
- We need to evaluate our officers by next week.
