Goals of the FTF include the following
1. To ensure that residents get value for house taxes
2. Give AHEC a better idea of Ashdown's cashflow
3. To set up a more efficient way of allocating funds for events
4. To help officers manage their finances efficiently
Hunter presents the results with summary as follows
1. Recommends a budgeting period for AHEC
2. Committees receive budgets and turn in their proposals for how they'd spend it
3. AHEC reviews the proposals and approves as seen fit based on overall goals for the house
4. AHEC sets up a data collection system from events to aid future budgeting procedures
5. Set up an electronic system to manage such expenditure
Once finalized, it will be released to the officers
AHEC will have a system of controls to effectively manage spending
One suggestion is to have meetings with respective committees before coming up with a budget
New structure will be helpful in delegating funding applications to respective groups
Such applications would be quality-controlled by AHEC
Synchronize committee proposals with funding application calendar at MIT
Have different deadlines for different committees
Anticipated attendance should be included for each event in each proposal
